MAR-MAC Industries, Inc. is a family-operated American manufacturer of industrial wire, concrete construction products, and related tools and accessories. Since 1953, MAR-MAC has built a reputation for quality, reliability, customer service, and deep industry expertise. Headquartered in McBee, South Carolina, MAR-MAC manufactures a broad range of wire and construction products serving contractors, distributors, fabricators, and industrial customers. Its product portfolio includes industrial wire, rebar tie wire, slab bolsters, bar supports, nails, anchor bolts, dowels, and specialized tools and accessories. MAR-MAC's PREMIUM building products are manufactured in the United States using 100% U.S.-melted steel, supporting projects with Buy American and Buy America requirements. The company also offers its cost-effective CONTRACTOR product line and custom industrial wire solutions tailored to customers' specifications. With manufacturing capabilities in South Carolina and a distribution network that includes warehouse locations in South Carolina and Texas, MAR-MAC combines more than 70 years of manufacturing experience with a customer-focused approach to serving the construction and industrial markets.
Our History
MAR-MAC Industries, Inc. traces its roots to 1953, when J.W. Martin, Jr. and John S. McLeod, Sr. founded the company in McBee, South Carolina. The MAR-MAC name originated from the surnames of its founders—Martin and McLeod. The company began modestly and completed its first 5,000-square-foot building in 1956. As the business expanded, its operations developed into separate industrial sewing and wire products divisions. MAR-MAC continued investing in its wire capabilities, including the development of its wire plant and the installation of wire drawing and annealing equipment. The Martin and McLeod families later divided the company's clothing and wire operations, with the wire business continuing under the Martin family. Leadership subsequently passed through multiple generations of the Martin family, preserving MAR-MAC's identity as a family-operated American manufacturer. Over the decades, MAR-MAC expanded its manufacturing capabilities, product portfolio, and distribution footprint. The company established additional warehouse operations in South Carolina and expanded west with a warehouse in Denison, Texas. More recently, MAR-MAC has continued investing in modern wire drawing, plastic coating, straightening and cutting, slab bolster, and annealing equipment. Today, more than 70 years after its founding, MAR-MAC serves the construction and industrial markets with American-manufactured wire and building products while continuing the family-operated tradition established in 1953.
